"We visited Ome by Spacebar Coffee early in the morning, around 8am. Do note that they do not serve breakfast, so we paired our coffee with some of their desserts instead. The café operates from Saturday to Tuesday only, and there is generally a 1-hour dining limit unless the café is not crowded. We arrived early and enjoyed the calm atmosphere before it got busier. For coffee, we ordered the Today’s Brew and a Latte. The coffee was good, though what truly impressed us were the desserts. The Brown Butter Buckwheat Apple Cake and the Zucchini & Olive Oil Loaf were both outstanding — moist, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. They were definitely the highlight of our visit. It’s easy to see why this café has gained international recognition and was ranked among the world’s top coffee shops. Overall, a lovely specialty coffee spot in Penang, especially worth visiting for its unique and delicious desserts."

"Very good coffee and great recommendation by the baristas/staffs! Nitro brew was my favourite. Worth visiting if you want a taste of good roasted coffee for the caffeine connoisseurs. Coffee bean wise they were more of the fruity, sour ones when I visited and the nutty blend that I requested was more sour than nutty for my preference. Expect a long wait as the store was quite compact with a lot of pilgrimages coming from all parts of the country (or the world)."

"I love coffee, I live in a place with a very developed specialty coffee culture. I had high expectations of Ome, they have a very good reputation, especially for pour overs. And they lived up to it! Went there 3 times in 4 days. Large selection of pour over beans (it'stheir specialty, obviously). Shout out to Reong the barista who executed 2 amazing pour overs, constantly being guided by a very accurate smelling sense and technique. Had 2 other pour overs by other staff, they were good too, but not as perfect as Reong's. Also had a taste of various “desserts” amongst which the fruit crumble dessert with yoghourt was definitely top level! Simple, yet so yummy. And made with different fruit on different days!! Please keep your baker, she is really good at her art! The café itself is very nice inside though small, lots of natural light. They are super popular so you will likely be told that you could be asked to limit your time spent inside to one hour if there is a line up outside…"

"A place I keep coming back to whenever I’m in Penang. The coffee here is top-notch, the desserts are equally impressive. We ordered an iced black, a seasonal soda, an apple cake and a brownie-style cake. The cakes were delicious, with well-controlled sweetness that was just right without compromising on flavour. That said, the apple cake had a little too much cinnamon for my personal preference, though that’s only a minor point. Beyond the cakes and drinks, the service here is exceptional. From queuing and ordering to dining in, everything was smooth and well managed. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely well looked after throughout the visit."

"id give a 4.5 stars. expect some waiting time during peak hours. the staff are very accomodating and asks if you want to share a table or wait for your own table. their coffee personally is not to my taste. my gf enjoyed it a lot though. she describes it almost "like a tea". i would prefer it richer and stronger(?) and less mild? idk how to describe coffee. their bread pudding is so yummy! the inside is so custardy and soft. a bite of decadence, sweet and milky and cinnamon-y. not too heavy. the outside has a little crispness. the slice of salted butter on top pairs with it so well. very enjoyable."
